Heaters

The petrochemical industry relies heavily on process heaters for efficient production and continuous operation.  Many heater types (crude, vacuum, visbreaker, delayed coker, catalytic reforming, hydroprocessing etc.) require control of the air pollution system to reduce harmful emissions. SCR is the best available control technology, particularly in non-attainment areas or for new sources.

Umicore’s DNX^® catalyst is specifically designed for high DeNOx performance in heater applications.  With extensive experience from over 300 references, Umicore is acknowledged as a market leader in SCR catalyst for heaters.  This experience is carefully applied to ensure that the catalyst meets or exceeds design lifetimes.  Al though SCR systems for heaters vary in size, Umicore can often supply catalyst quickly off-the-shelf for emergency needs.
