Cement and lime are building materials used by ancient civilizations to expand their empires and build magnificent structures still standing today. The unique process of calcining limestone to make cement and lime still has profound impact on the infrastructure we build today. Without these materials, life as we know it would look drastically different.

Global cement and lime air emission limits are currently in their infancy, and Umicore is gearing up to become a main supplier of its DNX^® and DNO catalysts for this industry. Umicore currently has references on three continents, including the world's first fully catalytic air emission reduction system for the simultaneous reduction of NOx, CO, VOC (THC) and NH₃.
